3 - Day Ceramic Workshop


January 10th, 11th, 25th (Sat - Sun - Sun)

⏰ Time: 12:00–5:00 PM each day
πŸ’΅ Price: $450 + HST per person


Workshop Overview

This 3-day intensive is open to all levels. I highly recommend some prior clay experience to get the most out of the workshop and bring your ideas to life, but beginners are welcome too!

Students can expect to:

  • Build a sculpture or functional piece (up to ~25”h Γ— 18” Γ— 18”)

  • Optional Larger Size: If you’d like to go bigger than the standard 25”h Γ— 18” Γ— 18”, you can create a piece up to 32”h Γ— 24” Γ— 24” for an additional $100

  • Explore handbuilding techniques, surface treatments, and finishing touches

  • Make a side table, sculpture, or your own clay creature.

  • Have access to one full box of clay (20kg) per student

  • The last 15 minutes of each class are for cleaning up

  • Firings are included in the class price.


Glazing & Finished Work

  • All pieces will be cone 6 fired and ready for pickup about one week after the workshop (please pick up within a week - studio space is limited)

  • Cracks may happen - part of the clay journey! πŸ’₯

  • A selection of slips, glazes & underglazes provided ✨ You’re welcome to bring your own cone 6 glazes - I’ll check them first to ensure they’re safe and fire-ready.


Workshop Schedule

Day 1 & 2 (Jan 10th &11th) - Build: Focus on handbuilding your large piece, and apply slips. 

((( I’ll handle the drying and bisque firing before the last class on the 25th. )))

Day 3 (Jan 25th) - Glaze & Finish: Apply underglazes and glazes, and finalize your piece.
